FREE Books Are Found Here!
One of our fleet vehicles and friendly ELC staff will visit childcare sites, elementary schools, or community events upon request. We bring a variety of high-quality books for children from birth to 12 years old to find the perfect match for them. While we are on the bus children, and their families or teachers will learn tips about reading and partake in literacy discussions.
Please reach out to communityengagement@elc-manatee.org if you’re interested in hosting a book distribution.

In short, the ELC is investing in children by providing free books for the purpose of building a childs at home library. The 20-year study by the University of Nevada states that “having as few as 20 books in the home has a significant impact on propelling a child to a higher level of education.” If you would like to be involved please reach out to communityengagement@elc-manatee.org to volunteer to label our books, or click here to donate.
